Peter Bos, as far as I know, was the first person to propose that insurance companies could be a replacement for statist government.

I know that sounds ridiculous, but the modern insurance company is burdened by a great many rules and regulations that prevent it from providing as many services as it might otherwise be able to do.

I understand that Peter is writing a book on this subject.

So cool! I met Peter Bos at Libertopia 2011 where he presented a paper on his ideas. His ideas range further than insurance services replacing statist-government services. He is in fact working on a book and other practical implementations of his ideas.
