I always loved electronic music, particularly Wendy Carlos.

Once I learned to play the piano I started in on synthesizers.

Improvisations

The following pieces were composed in Midi from the synthesizer keyboard (so they are more like improvisations).

Downtown – inspired by walking around downtown LA.

Seaside - inspired by living near the ocean in Newport Beach for fifteen years.

South Coast Plaza - inspired by the clock in the carousel court at South Coast Plaza shopping mall - one of the ritziest shopping malls in the world. (The "ding dong" theme from the SCP clock is pretty obvious.)

Sunrise - inspired by early morning jaunts up the freeway from Newport Beach / Irvine to Los Angeles.

Walking - inspired by walking on the Bluffs of Newport Beach.

Composition

The following piece was composed using Cakewalk's sheet music mode. So I would consider this piece a genuine composition, where I thought hard about what I wanted to do and then did it.
