DCOS Lab

When I was a wee lad (okay, age 18) a moment of great fortune occurred.

Julian Feldman, founder of the UCI ICS department had heard of my high school interest in computers through his son Murray. Murry and I were classmates. (Murray was very funny.) It's so long ago I don't remember how this happened, exactly, but basically Dr. Feldman hired me to be the "lab manager" of the Information and Computer Science Department at UC Irvine, where I went to college.

What lab? It was the Distributed Computer Operating System (DCOS) lab.

And I can barely find any references to it via Google searches.

Here's one reference I found:

Rowe, L.A. The distributed computing operating system. Tech. Rep. 66, Dep. of Information and Computer Sci. U. of California, Irvine, June 1975
