CyberDome
From AboveTheGarage
CyberDome is a game I wrote in 1996 and 1997. It used a new game engine I called SuperSet. It was published for a short time by a company that unfortunately went bust. The rights returned to me and I gave it away free. It was downloaded over 200,000 times.
It's a Top Dog at Underdogs:

I did all of the programming and bunch of the art (except the ships). The original ship design was done by my young son in K'Nex! Music by Rick Lambright. The producer at MicroMedia International recorded the voice-over based on my writing. I didn't have a DAT (and neither did he) and he was on the east coast so the sound was recorded onto VHS tape! He found a woman in the office that did the voice. I love that voice!
Writing a game from scratch is a lot of fun. There was more to the Superset engine than you can see in that brief clip, including real-time in-game editing.
